Description
SuperX-Maxx
When the X-Maxx hit the market, it generated tremendous excitement throughout the RC community. Naturally, Unlimited Engineering got our hands on one and immediately started looking for ways to make it stronger, faster, and more capable.
Our development efforts quickly produced some of the first major performance upgrades for the platform, including titanium hinge pins, a center differential conversion, hardened shock shafts, and titanium suspension links. The SuperX-Maxx became our development truck, serving as the proving ground for new products and ideas. Like many Unlimited Engineering projects before it, it was driven by a simple philosophy: identify the weak links, engineer a better solution, and then go out and test it harder than anyone else.
BUILD SPECIFICATIONS
- SuperX-Maxx Center Differential Kit – One of the first major upgrades developed for the platform, improving power delivery, handling, and drivetrain durability.
- SuperX-Maxx Titanium Pin Set – More than five feet of titanium hinge pins, reducing weight while dramatically increasing strength and wear resistance.
- SuperX-Maxx Titanium Lower Arm Pin Set – Titanium lower arm pins designed to eliminate one of the common wear points in the suspension system.
- SuperX-Maxx Titanium Suspension Link Set – Lightweight, high-strength titanium links that improve durability while reducing unsprung weight.
- SuperX Shock Shaft Kit – Hardened replacement shock shafts engineered to survive punishment that would bend or break stock components.
- Lerner 3080 Brushless Motor (12S) with MGM Speed Controller – The current powerplant. Massive torque, relentless acceleration, and enough power to expose weaknesses in nearly anything attached to it.
CONTINUOUS DEVELOPMENT
Every new product was tested the same way: install it, drive the truck hard, find the next weak link, and repeat. The result was a collection of upgrades that transformed the X-Maxx into an even more capable machine while helping define Unlimited Engineering’s approach to the platform.
Today, the SuperX-Maxx continues to evolve. Powered by a 12S Lerner 3080 and MGM controller, it remains one of the most powerful and heavily developed trucks in the Unlimited Engineering fleet, carrying on the tradition of pushing the limits and finding out what breaks next.
