    Traxxas tubes

Has anyone, or does anyone know how to take these apart? Assuming you can is like to so I can re anodize the tube itself, but need to separate it from the steel threaded parts.

    Thanks

Yes you can take them apart i have done it before. The steel ends are conventional thread on both sides from memory and are held in with a lot of loctite. The last i did it i ended up heating it with a soldering iron flame torch and used a driver to turn the end out through the hole. I think i snapped my driver as well.

I've taken them off as well. John is right, they do have a good amount of loctite on them, but they will come off. Just use a wrench to hold the center of the tie rod and put a small driver through the hole in the black piece. It'll come out with enough force.
