    Can't help it build thread

    Hi guys

Previously I sold all my Maxx gear, but my Powerstrokes and UE towers. My intention was to focus on other projects, like my E-LST and just bought MBX6 eco.

As you guys probably can relate to, it is difficult to stay away from the Maxx world, so bought a few things, and will keep buying stuff as I find it, so I have something for a winterproject.

I have one question: On my previous set of ext. arms/knuckles, there were a longer pivotball for the upper arms. This is not the case here, where it is a standard length pivot. Can I use this, or do I need the longer ones? If yes, does anybody have some they want to sell?

Here is what I have so far:

I have never seen a different size pb ball. I didn't use it on mine, so I don't think you should have a problem, but someone please correct if I am wrong.

The longer top ball is not needed. Just use the standard length balls on each arm and adjust your retainers accordingly.

The madness never stops!! haha Keep it up man! Those parts look sweet.

Great stuff, Klausen. Look forward to the next picture update. I think there are 17mm CVD's for your 8mm driveshafts in the UE shop.

It is definately a sickness, I had 11 complete trucks when I sold off everything. I had 6 built and 5 still sitting in boxes that needed building, I should have turned it into a business.

    Yes

Well I have been working on six trucks of my own, and still have a couple other ones that I have not even begun to put together yet. I have not even run one of them in two years because we need all new charging gear and new Lipos to get the fleet going, and that will cost a pretty penny.

A little progress in the build. Got a receiverplate and servoskid from Fullforce mounted up on my Predator with a Hitec TG7955 servo between.

Got a few other items in the mail, so will most likely have a roller ready within a couple of weeks.

Finnally finished my latest E-maxx. Only things missing is an FLM halfcase and a Gen4 servosaver. I might also get a new body, as this is not so nice anymore. It turned out more or less as I wanted it to, so I am quite happy with the result. Huge thanks to Joe for helping out on a lot of parts.

4 tires glued to the rims, and no fingers glued together...

Know I just pray it is ok, and they will stay on the rims!

Looks great. Upper arms are backwards. Leave the Fts where they are, put the rrs the other way.

Oh yeah did not even notice that. However you need to switch all of them. The top arms all should be trailing not leading.

It's a beautiful truck, Jesper. Congrats.

Aren't the lower arms turned upside down?

Leave ft uppers like that, you get better handling.

Lowers are upside also. If they are the other way to protect the bottom of the shocks but te way you have them no don't do that.

Is it FLM combos or FLM Hybrids you have installed?

If it's for 1/8 diffs they are called Hybrids. If they are for stock Traxxas diffs they are called Combos (looks to me like the Combos are discontinued).

It is the FLM combos I have.

They haven't been tested yet, but I know for sure it sucks that there are no holes through the gear that goes out to the center axle. I really like using these Traxxas screws that makes sure the drive cups stays on the gear. After only a small run in the garden it popped off twice in each end, so now it is drowned in locktite. Hopefully it will work.

    Gen4 servo saver

Got the Gen4 servo saver from Joe (thanks again). Now only thing missing for this truck, is the FLM halfcase, maybe Modelsport Austria digs one up some day, or I get lucky on Ebay!

Just mounted the Gen4 servo saver on the truck. It really is one of the best upgrades ever made for the E-maxx. Looks great and performs great. Please put those back in production Robin.
