I wish i would have waited before doing the work to this truck, the new model year of the 6.7 has a whole list of engine improvments including a better (more reliable) turbo, fuel system, engine internals, etc. I did all the work myself with lots of help from my son, it was a lot of work. I kept every stock part so it can be all uninstalled and the truck traded off for the improved engine but man it would be a full weeks worth of hard work.

I don't think the factory is doing anything to the engine you couldn't do a lot better in the aftermarket. And the days of deleting are coming to an end. I like my '12 and unless they bring out adaptive cruise control, rain sensing wipers and stuff like that, then Ford has done something you can't do easily on the aftermarket. So far, there's nothing I can't get on the aftermarket that would make me want to trade the truck.

I bought this brand new 28 years ago. 1985 mustang 5.0 5-speed Its got just about every aftermarket high performance HD part they ever made for one of them in it. It was the last of the carbureted mustangs ever built. Never been driven in the winter so its still in excellent condition.

    Cat

"CAT", nice. Not a bad office to work in, right? I was a CAT diesel mechanic during my early years in the US Navy. D398 & D399 generators. Awesome power.

I'm a bridge officer (3rd Mate and training dynamic positioning officer). It's an offshore supply vessel supplying oil platforms/rigs in the gulf of mexico with liquid mud, barite, cement etc for drilling and whatever other stuff we can fit on our 250 x 60' deck for them. We also have an ROV for underwater inspections and construction.

I found a better picture. It's sister and my boat are actually the largest OSV in the world at 370ft. Usually OSV's have the house forward and the deck in the back like the one off the bow in this picture and are between 190 to 320ft.

    and here's the ROV

I guess I shouldn't leave the wife's car out..this think is a lot of fun. it's a 2010 IS350 with 306bhp or so with a 1" Lexus drop. I pretty much drive this most of the time since my truck has been in the shop a lot with getting the new build right.

Besides keeping the vessel in position (well the dynamic positioning system does that) and moving where they need to go, no. It is run by the third party company Oceaneering.

My eldest boy turned 18 this year. Looks like I will be searching for my next ride very soon... The way the economy is, it might be a skateboard....

Daily driver is a 2012 Subaru Legacy 2.5 Premium. I average 32MPG, AWD (awesome in the snow, live on some serious hills)

My Toyhauler is taking a dump. 2005 Silverado 1500. Early spring i'll be dumping it and upgrading. Looking at a 2011-2015 F350 6.7 Powerstroke. Also looking at picking up a Travel trailer. Been eyeing up the Flagstaff 27RLWS, 3 slide outs and 31'. PLENTY of room. Its going to be an expensive spring. lol.
