I need a new radio, this JR XS3 is really really sketchy

Took it to the somewhat local track here, and it drew a crowd, it was pretty funny- sort of like bringing the supermaxx all over again. People were drooling over it LOL. I need a DSM radio before I can hit up the track. I ran this at my friends gravel pit and the power is unreal, the center diff soooo nice , I can climb almost any hill, the pan chassis likes to skip across everything so you dont slow down. I must say the handling is unreal, never seen anything like it before. Just my update

Yup, they work great. They glue up like nothing and are nearly perfectly ballanced.

i've been waiting for months for the mugen bag to come out. Can you take a pic of that bag with a supermaxx in it or your razor? is it sturdy?

I got a pair of the bags back on the 7th so they have been out for ~3 weeks or so now. Thinking they hit the stores around the 10th or so if they had them ordered. Not in the picture is the lids. The internal box does have a lid to it before you zip up the bag. I just didn't have it on/installed yet when I took the pics. It is the standard plastic based cardboard like box materal that has been out for quite a while now. Same material as most pit box drawers that are currently out. Pretty sturdy feeling. Nice HD zipper on them.

The MBX6T is quite a bit bigger (longer) than a Razor so a Razor would drop right in like nothing with room to spare. Not sure about the height of a Supermaxx. You can see in the one picture with tires in it the approximate depth available (A couple inches to spare over the top of the tires not in bags). Length/width is exactly what you see. 6 sets of tires. AKA, MTR, VTR sized truggy tires.

Looks like Nitro House might have some still in stock. http://www.nitrohouse.com/catalog/shopping_cart.php

Here's a pic of my beast. The paint is simple but the truck is nothing but functional. It is the best handling truggy I've ever driven. VTR Calibres are dialed. Durability is insane. My best purchase yet after 10 years in the RC scene.

How does this truck compare with the other truggies out there? I am thinking about getting a truggy and convert it to the darkside.

Performance wise the MBX6T and Losi 2.0 are on top of the game. Each does this and that better than the other so a toss up to which one is the "best" currently available. (Info from someone who has them all and isn't biased).

IMO, of course I am going to say, the MBX6T. Their plastic is and always has been the best in this industry. Much less all of the other components. I haven't worn anything out on mine yet. Not even the arms have been changed on mine. (Their plastic has gotten even better between the 5 and 6 series RCs!) It works and works great. Wears well and doesn't develop slop quickly (No slop on mine yet and I have been running it for some time now.)

Both have bigger bearings on the hubs... I hate those things. They are certainly a maintenance/replacement constantly item no matter who's bearings you are using.

    Losi = standard hardware
Mugen = the RC industry standard metric hardware

The Mugen is a snap to work on/do maintenance on.

RC Car has done reviews on both. So something there to go back and do some reading on. Always solid, dependable and reliable info there!

I did battle with a Team Losi Driver last weekend. My buggy was off a bit on setup, but his 2.0 Buggy was a solid second or more a lap faster than I was. BUT, with the trucks, I was a solid second or more faster than he was. The truck is very very good.

I have an ST-RR and HATE IT! I have tried everything to get rid of the oversteer problem that seems to trouble everyone who has one. I have given up on it to be honest... now i run my T-Maxx in the truggy class and do quite well )

Noooo, it is that truck! I couldn't drive that pos ST-RR you had to save my life. I was faster than you with it but yet felt like a turd driving it. Yours oversteered for me soooo bad just like respirologyr mentions above. I had to drive so carefully just to keep it on the track. It wasn't even fun to drive it took so much out of you.

An STRR with OVERSTEER? Something was seriously wrong there, I could never get enough steering out of mine. I bet it had a diff outdrive locking/locked up.

Just go to RC-Monster and buy the parts you need for a conversion i.e. motor mount, battery tray/s, motor, ESC, lipo and you're good to go.
