    Question Super-6 Information...

...I will be getting a Super-6 FOC here in a few days, and just wanted to see if there is anything special I need to know or do. Obviously, I will be installing it into a black 2.5 transmission, with a UE nitro input and Traxxas nylon 1st and 2nd gears. The OWB is almost new, and in good working order, and I have already done Robin's pin mod. I don't know if it will come with instructions or not, but I have a link to the online version. Anyway, if there is anything special I need to know, thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

I am unsure about the washer, I will ask Chad K.

I am running a UE 34mm 4-shoe clutch with carbon shoes, Kyoshow 18T narrow CB, MGT 52T spur, 2.5 slipper-plates, Associated carbide diff-balls instead of slipper pegs, and UE 8-spider diffs in Ultralites. All of this is on a Thunder chassis with UE Ti centers, UE 6mm steel axles, CNR brake, full Racer-X with set-backs, Dace 23mm adapters, yada, yada...

I use Serpent one way bearing oil on the one way. Seems to work fine. The washer is the 6mm nylon washer that is originally used betwwen the one way bearing and the 2 speed hub. You probably have 1 but I'll check and see what I have.

Where can one buy a washer if it doesn't have one? I have never needed a new washer but now that i see this thread maybe it's time to change mine out.

How does the super6 change your tranny ratio? More low end or top end?

More top end. Its designed to compensate for the lower ratio within the 1/8 diffs.

Yea, the forward primary is smaller, while the forward output is larger.

Use Gorilla Snawt, its really really thick stuff and is design for the higher rpm gears in RC cars & trucks. I used this on all my diff ring & pinion gears and tranny Super6 gears and once you get this Gorilla Snawt on your skin, better scrub really good, because this stuff sticks on real good!

They show up in the BST all the time. In the last 3 months about 10 have been sold, and for really good prices, too. They are all over eBay as well...just contact Scott (eBay name = BillyTrucks123), he always has 3 or 4 of them. If he doesn't have one listed, just contact him, he will have one.

I always thought the opposite was true, good because my brother's SM (stock gearing) is a little slower off the line. I don't have the 7.5 Ultralites, that makes me geared more for top end.
