just got some of the diff parts in today, and i'm off of work for a week so i'll start getting numbers ready.
I'm going to be using common parts. So this way if a diff breaks you will be able to find it easily.
    Keep your fingers crossed.

post up any progress, i'd be interested in seeing how you integrate the brakes...I'm trying to find out how they run mechanical brakes on brushless setups, but not too many people do it. check what this guy did below on his buggy, maybe it'll give you some ideas...

    Hey Respi,
So did you make any progress on the center diff? I really want to see this happen!!!!! I am in a 4 yr machinist apprentice program at work now, I have to go to colledge 1 day a week. I have been talking to one of the instructors about building one also and he said if I can get the drawings and measurement that we can definately make it. They have 2 NEW 5 axis machines and a 3 axis, and this guy definately know's how to use them.

i am not down and out yet. I actually have been trying to figure out a way of using linkages from existing truggies/ buggies to keep costs down. This also will help out with replacing worn parts.

    River,
It would actually be more like the RC Monster Slipperential posted in the pic's earlier in the thread. It would basically work the same way as the one in your JT chassis but fit into place of a standard maxx based trans mounting pattern.

    River or anyone else,
Do you by chance have a spare top plate for the JT center diff like the one you have pictured? I need one for my Dominator Hybrid.

    Hi guys,

I've sketched a nitro center diff mount with dual front and rear brake system. It's fits on thunder or other nitro chassis.

Is there someone who could help me to choose correct gear ratio?
    I use 44t center diff spur. I designed a top shaft with 2x 20t mod1 pinion.

My first question : do i have to use pinion or slipper in the input topshaft?
What kind of ratios do you use on your nitro set up?

    Thanks

    thanks for the info.
your Tmaxx 3.3 2nd gear wide ratio is 2.11.

With this set up on central diff mount, i have the same final ratio like yours :
    clutch bell 15T
    robinson racing Gen 3 slipper for 3.3Revo : 38T
    Top shaft pinion : 20T
    center diff spur 44T
drivetrain pinion/diff hot bodies bevel gear 10/43

    Lets CAD everything!!
