Rumor has it over on the Xray forum that it's 439 grams lighter than the EC, that's a good chunk of weight savings.

Losi break apart??? Not likely. Did you read RC Cars last buggy shoot out where the Losi came in 3rd behind the Kyosho and Mugen? I'm pretty sure the Losi was the ONLY buggy to not break during that whole shoot out

Looks to me like they took the losi driveline which works and added a little Xray engineering to it, hopefully it accelerates like the losi but handles like the EC.

Finally....it's here! I just ordered my 808 TODAY from Aldo for $575 at Critters in NJ and will have it in sunny SoCal by tomorrow morning! Just in time for the JBRL series this Sunday. I'll be running a Vspec with 2060 pipe...should be a great combo. Stay tuned.

Congrats! Another happy owner in the states!

The 808 was fun to build...took 5 hours last night to complete. Now I just need to paint the body and break in the Vspec for this wkend's points series race.

It is truly innovative how Xray designed the parts to fit with plenty of support and reinforcement in key areas. I like the fact that they incorporate lock nuts into the plastic so you don't strip them the plastic out. I love the shielded bearings and captured pins....should be great during endurance mains. The center diff will be extremely easy to swap out and maintain while keeping the brake settings intact. The bulkeheads are anchored with 4 screws yet it is very secure. Also love how they trimmed the steering knuckles for max turning radius. I was surprised how lite it was with the motor and electronics in it....it should really fly!

Lmk how your build turns out.
