Would any of you painters be interested in painting a body?

Would any of you painters be interested in painting a body for this 'lil 'ole thing?

For reference, that's SM1 next to it (yes, a full sized SM looks small.)

The body shown here is a tiny bit small, but it was the biggest I had. An inch or two longer would be perfect.
This bod's from the a first edition of the BFT.
If you know of a bigger body, that's what we need.
I really like the color scheme of this one, but can't have anyone thinking it's a BFT so...

If you would like the job please email me your ideas, bodies you think would fit and cost to do the job.

    Thanks,
    Robin

I would say the biggest bodies on the market are the LST2 bodies. But then again i know that GS Racing makes an even bigger body for their truggy. SO it's really up to you in regards to what kind of look you want. Truggy style or Truck style.

just a play toy, nothing to get excited about

    any links to these bods?

I want it to look like a truck, maybe not scale, but not some half-a-hybrid stadium jumper either

A jeep bod would be great, but I doubt it's avail (the wrangler one I have is way too small)

A few years back there was a custom body made by one of the soldiers in iraq. it was a jeep body made of aluminunum, I dont know how involved you want to get, but it could be done.

Proline makes many bodies that they say fit both the Revo 3.3 and the LST2, but honestly they don't. The LST2 is a big truck and a wide one at that. The revo is skinny and not as long as the lst2. I think this body is what you are looking for. Don't go with any that claim to fit both the LST2 and Revo as they are to narrow for the lst2 and has clearance issues. Sure it's mite fit if you have it jacked up high with extended body posts but then it looks rediculous.

That HPI old skool Ford Bronco body I ran on my Razor was a big sucker and might work. Scale looking to boot.

If it's "just a play toy," why black the chassis out?

Robin, I don't know if it will work for you due to it's size, but I'm using a 1/6 scale Nylint Jeep Wrangler body. I have a few pics of it next to some LST tires and wheels and also some pics of it next to my Revo and a Maxx. Here's some pics I pulled from the gallery. I picked up mine off ebay last week for $20 + shipping. They actually come in orange with a blue cage, mine has been painted here:

This is just one of many pictures. Let me know if you need more, I have some on my photobucket account. I'm at work and can't access them now, but if you want to search "gtxracer" there it will come up with my account. They're in the "Nylint" album.

that's cool. Could you measure the aprox wheelbase (center of wheel openings?)

It says your photobucket album is private and requires a password.

What chassis are you running it on?

Right now, air I'm building a Maxx based crawler out of it. I plan to use aluminum to make some chassis plates. Most guys use a TXT chassis or hack up the stock Nylint chassis. Oh, and I sent you a PM.

EDIT: Found some pics from another forum:

Oh, and I'm not gonna sugar coat it for you - If you don't drive gracefully (I don't) that body will take a beating. It's regular hard plastic but can take some abuse. But you could just keep it as a "show" body and use a different body for running the truck.

I gave these to MM, but maybe someone else can use them too:

    Okay, got some measurements-

Total length of the body only: 22 1/4"

Wheelbase: 15 1/2 -17" This is debatable. I measured from the center of the rear wheel opening to the center of the front, but since the front end is open, you could stretch it out another inch or so.

Width: 11", front fender to front fender, rear is the same
    Good luck catching me *nitros*
