    Wounded car?! Wounded driver!

With 8 sponsors I imagine you're more world class than I am, trust me. I'm just a slow, lowly magazine editor, I have zero sponsors.

Anyhoo, when do you get your truck? I thought you'd have it by now since two shipments have now gone out from Losi. It's sick.

Well, here is what I have done on my 8ight truggy so far Spent about 4-5 hours getting everything installed. Did my usual heat shrink wrap on all the exposed wires to keep them from fraying on anything, Lipo battery and regulator installed with lots of padding. Its ready to Rock!

Got 8 tanks threw my Speed in my buggy running it WOT, just want to install it in my truggy and run a few more easy tanks around the driveway and then its ready to rip! Engine was tight but with that Lipo installed in my Mugen box it turned it over like nothing! Never going back to cheap batteries again

My truggy arrives Monday, then the real fun begins. Will post pics once I get it....

Got to run my 8T last night. This thing is like a rocket! Only problem is with the rear knucle hinge pin, they bend way to easy. My friend and I both bent them. I would like to get a different set of tires. The Losi's are ok but, better suited for outdoor. Anyone know if the GRP Cubics will fit on Losi rims? Couple of pics.

nice looking rig Mitten If you have hubs all the way forward or all the way back it makes the hingepins far weaker because they have less support. I bend the hingepins all the time as do all the FAST guys when you run them like that. Put the hubs with one spacer in front or rear of the knuckle. When I do this on my buggy I never bend them. Losi is looking into a better material for the hingepins, should be replacements soon. Also if you can get your hands on some drill blanks, get the right size and run them, you'll never bend one of them. Just keep them in place with a screw on each side of the hingepin, kinda like a Xray

I'm pretty sure GRP tires won't fit on Losi rims. Just get the new Pro-Line 1/2 off set rims and run what you like. If you must run GRP tires and rims get a 9mm Mugen hub extender and you'll be set.

Mitten, how is the 8ight-T compared to the ST-R you had? I really liked my ST-R over any CRT I had driven. And found it to be pretty close to a couple Mooogens I had test driven as well. Looking forward to seeing how the 8ight Truggy stacks up against the rest

Anyone ever see excessive wear on the rear of the chassis? check out this picture, the top chassis is a new 8ight, the bottom is mine.

Is it normal for this much wear? and should I replace it or should I be fine?

Stop wrecking every lap Richard ...the FAST guys that race these cars don't bend the hingepins all the time at all, at least in So Cal and we have tons of guys running the car.

RcBro, I noticed that my chassis is wearing quickly. Not as much as yours, but I am sure it will get there. This is all just running on a clay track.

Rear chassis wear depends on the track you run on, ride height... Mine is wearing quite well right now. I would consider getting a chassis soon .
