Well, Got the body all painted up and mounted.
I love this thing, it handles like a dream and the MOD C5 Makes it rip.
well here are the paint pics. I know its not the worlds greatest but it was my first time masking my own paint scheme.

The Masking i used, 3M inch wide. i wanted clear windows so i had to mask those off as well.

The body all finished and ready to be mounted.

It mounted on the buggy itself, cant wait to see this thing rip up the track.

    Yes i have ran it,
    its got TONS of steering,
    very well put together kit.
Its tracks straight and flys level.
but the only downside is that it doesnt come with window masks, just black stickers, i wanted clear windows so i had to mask my own out.
But other than that its a very good buggy,
today ill see how it compares to the SP2 And MXB5 Prospecs that roam the track were i live.

looks like a nice kit but I don't know why they didn't put threaded shock body's in the kit.

Even the high end kits like the MBX-5 Prospecs don't even have threaded shock bodies. Personally, I prefer the clip-on style because it's easier to change the ride height with it IMO.

I've seen the Hyper-8 in person, and I love it. It seems like a VERY impressive buggy.

In RC-Driver magazine it looks like something you could puck-up at Toys-R-Us, though.

Hope you have fun with it, I sure would!!

what did RC driver say about the hyper 8>? i wish i had that issue, somebody is wanting to sell me his hyper 8, he said he didnt even get to run a tank, still looks brand new as well, so i figure if it would be worth it to buy this buggy.

if not, then i can use my money on other things more important. lol like tires/rims/parts and so on for my truggy lol

Looks really nice! I'm tempted to get one... even thought I have a Losi 8ight on order. I keep reading so many good things about it.

My old school S7 with the black heatsink sat for 2 years. Now I'm back into R/C and it still runs great in my Ofna 9.5 Pro.

If you will be doing any racing the ofna.com Hyper 8 forums have lots of good info to absorb.

For now I don't have time to made a good setup (winter is comming fast ) So I'll run it with the stock diff oil....

This winter I'll setup it like the Nitrohouse setup but for tight track.

Thanks for the info piccomaxxr21 I'll try it with Komodo 2 tire and Crime fighter M2.

I would say his opinion is quite accurate as nothing you mentioned was even part of his opinion.
-And the threaded shocks on my XXX4 look WAY more retarded then the non-threaded ones on my T4. Yes, on shocks where you use almost no pre-load, like the super shocks, they do look better, but not that much, the Mugen looks just fine with the spacers.
    - And maybe you should get the new Firefox, it has spell check built in.
-By the way, an opinion is an opinion, not fact, and not to be the exact same as anybody else's.

    clips are better
+1 clips i think are the way to go.
Makes preload adj. much easier and faster.

    Tremer,

Make sure that you pass a screw through the whole assembly and put a washer and locknut on the shock side. That way they dont start poping off accidently and gives a peice of mine IMO.

    Thanks for the tips Nate

I forget to mention: I broke one of this screw....

So I remplace it with a regular screw (flat head, washer) and a regular ball-end.

If you look on Nitrohouse under the Hyper 8 pro link,
    click on pro tips.
They have that mod. Where you take the old H7 which use a screw that passes through the arm instead of the all in one peice on the H8.
I did that kortz's upper link mod on the front, def more on AND off steering.

    You have it wrong tremer,
It gives you more onpower steering,
    Not more steering throw,
On power steering is when your on the throttle and turn the buggy, how well it turns is onpower steering, the upper link mod allows you to go faster and still be able to turn nicely without crashing beacuse you went too fast into the corner.

So your steering throw will be the same, but you can now mash the throttle and have more steerin while on the gas.

Oh yeah! I bought my Hyper8 today from Dinball!!

I will use Pro-Line Crime Fighter Tires, UE clutch & Novarossi P5x.

Still dunno about oil weight in diffs and shocks. I will do some tests when I will race at every friday night.

I bought mine!! With a lot of spares!! Can't wait to break in the P5x!! I have it since 1 week and I only assembled the shocks! I spent all my time cleaning my supermaxx for a part out.

Brand new buggy, brand new engine, brand new layout at the track!! Sound like me and Tremer will have a GREAT summer.
