Isnt it bad to have the fuel lines touch the motor?

it does heat up the fuel minimally, that is not a great worry.
you do have to worry about it constantly bouncing on a sharp edge, that is the only worry that i really know of. if you are that worried about it traxxas has those fiberglass hose covers that can slide over the fuel line.

Easy build,,nice kit. Missing 1 shock bladder, other than that everything was there. Went together with ease.

Had a pretty good day on Sat with the TQ. Went to a club race and made the podium (3rd place). 20 minute A-main, made some good pit stops, and no flameouts. Matt Tebo and Keith Hadley had equipment issues or they would have beat me easily. I was just trying to put together consistent laps, which I managed to do. Max power motor ran like a champ, exellent power low to mid and a rocket on the top end with no issues whatsoever, good mleage and acceptable race temps.

Keith Hadley,,that kid is a Phenom,, can drive the wheels off of anything. He was marching right for me once he got back on the track, but ran out of time.

Night and day difference between the Ofna Buggy and the XB8. With the Ofna I was always waiting on it to slow down and turn and recover, ect. XB8 was light on its feet, and seemed to be right with me on every move (good or bad,,lol). I had it sprung a little to stiff in the front at first, once I softened it up 1 step and added a touch of ride height to the rear, it made a world of difference on turn in and corner exit, as well as an improvement on the rebound action (kept trying to buck the front end up at speed).

A good day nonetheless, pretty much put me in the "better tuner/mechanic than driver category", but I'll take that. For me that's 3/4 of the fun.
